Lucy the Knitting Mole

I'm so excited about the new moles that have arrived at The House of Mouse this week. Their little feet and hands make me giggle, and there is something about the black and pink colour combination that I just love. The moles join the hedgehogs as new creatures to come and live with the mice in our shop. I hope you like them! 

Lucy the Mole loves to knit! She's always clicking her needles, making something new. Nothing makes her happier than a new ball of yarn and a whole day to sit and knit! She would make a great gift for anyone with a healthy yarn obsession!

NEW - Nativity Mice

Theses adorable nativity mice are the first in our new Nativity Collection, which we will add more to over the next few weeks. Little baby Jesus mouse makes us squeeeee... those eyes are almost as big as his head! Gourdon the Pumpkin Mouse

Gourdon has chosen to go trick-or-treating dressed as a pumpkin this Halloween! All of his friends have stocked up on silly string and smelly cheese just in case anyone in their neighbourhood chooses the "trick" option, but so far everyone has given them lots of delicious candy. Gourdon likes to stuff the candy inside his plump pumpkin costume (you can carry so much more that way!) and tip it all out at the end of the day to feast on the Halloween treats. He would love to come home with you and share some yummy goodies! Gourdon is the perfect gift for Halloween, or perhaps anyone whose birthday falls around Halloween.

Venom Mouse is arguably the most notorious of Spider-Mouse's arch-enemies. From his deathly black costume to his sparkling white teeth and super-long tongue, Venom Mouse truly is a fearsome creature. You wouldn't want a friendly lick from this little guy, that's for sure! This terrible little mouse is the perfect gift for anyone who loves Spider-Man and comics, or even those who root for the bad guys...

Figgis the fuzzy Piggy

Plump and fuzzy, Figgis the piggy loves nothing more than snuffling around for truffles, especially the chocolate kind. Figgis loves having his little porky belly tickled - go on - listen to him squeal with delight!

Figgis was hand sewn with felt and beads. He is stuffed with polyfil. He stands approximately 2.5inches tall (6.5cm)

What a pair of cheeky monkeys!

We are a bit mad on monkeys here at home (as well as mice!), so when we discovered we were having a boy it seemed natural to give his nursery a monkey/jungle theme. I have been slowly picking up fun things from Etsy to decorate his room with ever since. I think my favorite little ornament has to be "monkey friends" by my sweet friend Maria from HeartshapedCreations.


My little monkeys arrived in the mail yesterday evening beautifully packaged, and although I didn't think it was possible they are even cuter than their photographs. I am amazed by all the little details that Maria put into them! If you don't already know about HeartshapedCreations then I highly recommend you visit her store, she has wall-to-wall cuteness for you to enjoy.

October is here and we are bringing back the christmas mice, cards and pin! I can sew a little loop onto the back of the mice so you can hang them on your tree, because they are small and light they make the perfect unique tree ornament!

Robert Burns Mouse

Robert Burns was a Scottish poet. It was a pleasure to make this little custom mouse for someone recently. A little homage to the writer of pieces like "To a Mouse" and "Of Mice and Men"

Gene Simmons from Kiss Mouse

A few days ago I got one of those custom order requests that just made me go "Yay!!" A returning customer asked me if I could make her a Gene Simmons from Kiss mouse! I loved the idea! Here is how he looks all finished.



I am thinking about adding him to my store as a regular, although that will have to wait until my computer is back from the shop so I can use Photoshop make the pictures look better. I am still using my sloooow laptop at the moment, although we are expecting to get my main computer back any day now.

Survivormouse

I have been a fan of the Discovery Channel program "Survivorman" for a few years now, for those of you who don't know it, it is about a man - Les Stroud - who abandons himself in extreme places with some cameras. He films himself surviving some of the harshest climates on the planet for 7 days, while teaching about survival techneques. I was so thrilled when somone asked me to make a custom Survivormouse for them :) And here he is, complete with little camera on a tripod.

This evil gangster wants your money or he'll put a bounty on your head and keep you as his slave! This slug like mouse is grim and gruesome and somehow cute all at once. He has a little tongue sticking out of his mouth, watch out he doesn't lick you!
