Weekly Happy Stats

Things that made Anna happy this week:

- Hearing Declan saying "Da da da da" for the first time (His daddy is glowing with pride, I can't wait for "Ma ma ma ma").
- Finishing building a whole new set of IKEA cupboards, Yay for more storage!
- Making little warrior mice for a very special customer.
- Catching up with friends for a good old girlie chat.
- Making Declan's first Halloween costume.

Things that made Naomi happy this week:

- Getting a lovely new Blu-Ray player and lots of freebies with it.
- Starting my Abundance Quest and through it meeting lots of likeminded people.
- Hearing about Vincent's "Fireworks" painting at nursery!
- Selling our first Mouse House: The TARDIS, with a little David Tennant Dr Who Mouse.
- Enjoying the unusually warm and very beautiful weather this November.

• Hubby taking Friday off work to spend with us

Things that made Naomi happy this week:

• Going to the cinema with my family to see Toy Story 3 (it rocks!!)
• Spending the day with my Ma on her birthday
• Getting a chance to catch up a little with the European Street Team chatter on Etsy
• Declan and Vincent "chatting" on the webcam! Can't wait for them to meet in person again very soon :-)
  

My computer died

(don't worry I didn't actually do this to my computer,
the photo just represents what I would like to do to it!)

My computer died, and even my uber-geek husband can't get it going again. I'm going to have to drive it 2 hours to the store we bought it from to get the geeks there to retrieve my data. Even though I was sure I had backed up all my important images I still find myself without an alarming number of needed files. I am stuck with my slooow laptop until the computer doctors can bring my pc back to life. Isn't it a bit scary how much we rely on our computers now? I didn't even realise how much I needed it until it died.

Normal transmission will (hopefully) resume soon.

Creative Overload

A few years ago I had creative block. On the rare occasion I had an idea I was too scared to make it happen. Then something changed, I can't quite put my finger on what did it but I started making my mice, and a stream of new ideas hit me constantly. I have a list so long of characters I want to make, but I also want to learn how to make other things too, and I have a house to keep clean and friends to stay in contact with.

Now I find myself with a whole new problem, quite the opposite from creative block, this is Creative Overload. I don't have enough hours in the day just for The House of Mouse business and home life, but I don't want to reject the new creative needs and ideas in my mind either.

How do you find the balance and time for everything you want to make and do, whilst still maintaining a business that is going well?

I suspect time management is important, but would love to hear any other tips you might have.
