Custom Queen Elizabeth I Mouse
When I got the request for this custom mouse, I must admit I was a little apprehensive. After all Queen Elizabeth the First lived in a time of grand and intricate costumes! I knew it was going to be a challenge. I have to admit that I really enjoyed making her, the challenge was lovely too. I have been sewing mice for 4 and a half years and sometimes it can get a little repetitive, but this mouse really brought back the joy of a challenging piece for me. I hope you like her as much as her new owner does.

ReplyDeleteSO cute.
ReplyDeleteLove it
She's brilliant! And instantly recognisable. I like that you've used white felt for her face and pink felt for her hands/paws, just like the real Elizabeth I :) I especially love the pearl pattern on her bodice, and the lacy cape (I'd quite like one myself lol)
